At times, when things are quiet in the house, I panic and think what sort of dangerous thing is Woody up to?!?! Sometimes, it is something ridiculously dangerous but other times it is this picture:  Woody relaxing in his chair with his favorite books, "reading" out loud in the quietest, sweetest voice a Mom has ever heard.  I stand out of site so I don't embarrass him and just listen. . . my heart soaring with love.

Summer is Near

I think the last of our true cold fronts are over.  We still have fires but we sit a bit farther back, the flames more for ambiance and something to poke a stick at than for the actual need of warmth.  We've had the AC on more and the windows opened less.  We have been hitting the beach almost daily and going swimming.  Yep, the days of Irish Booties, flannels and wool hats are behind us.  

  

These Irish Booties are the cutest and warmest shoes ever.  Woody loves his "boots" and he managed to squeeze his feet into them for one more winter.
