Several mornings later we decided to hike one of the trails on the island.
It was recommended to us to hire a local kid to lead the hike to show us indigenous flora and critters. Roger was happy to oblige and he turned out to be a knowledgeable guide. He took us into the trails at 7am because he had school at 10am. It was a wonderful morning exploration.
