Beach-a-pa-looza: Baby Style

A few weekends ago we met up with some of our favorite people for a long beach weekend in Amelia Island.  The days of yore when we use to get together we these yahoos:

were filled with margarita mornings, naked hot tubing, going for dingy rides during a hurricane in the Key West Bight, bands forming with names like "Pelting Penial Rain" with our hit single being our band name sung to the tune of Prince's "Purple Rain."  The love is the same, as is the laughter, bonds of friendship, and good times but the shenanigans are different.  We are all parents now.  We never talked about having kids at the same time. It was always a vague, in the way future "Yes" for all of us but planning to have our kids born only a few months apart was never planned.  It just happened and we couldn't have planned it better.  This past weekend we were so happy to being hanging together, laughing and enjoying life and it was exponentially more fun as we watched our kids goof around together and start to form baby bonds.

This toothbrush was a ridiculous amount of entertainment for Elwood.  We now carry one in the car at all times.

Deciding which hat to wear first also took up some time on the road trip

We arrived!

A quiet moment
"Ma, you guys are taking too long, just meet me and my turtle at the beach."

I am wearing a cute cover up because on our first day there, I fried my stomach like a Tween in her first bikini.  Rookie.
