The first thing you want is more time; just one more day, one more hug, one more smile. Then, after you drag yourself back to reality, the next thing you want is more pictures. After children arrive, the adults are just not photographed as much. I wish I had more photos of everyone. I want a recent one of just Michael and I, his handsome smile glowing as his strong arm pulls me in close to his tall frame. There I am easily tucked under his arm, grinning almost as big as him as if we had just shared a hysterical private joke. I can picture it in my mind, I want to hold a photo of it, run my fingers across it. I want a photo of Michael and Elwood body surfing together at the beach, I was going to get one this summer. Take more photos. Now.
And put some adults together and take their photos too.
So here are my photos, someplace tangible, accessible. Not on some hard drive somewhere.
Summer 2014.
Fall and Winter are to follow soon. There are a ton of photos, (mostly of Elwood.)
Man, What I would give for more.

First bad skateboard injury. Done under Mom's watchful eye while Dad was out of town. Awesome. |
