Bocas life

We needed to be out of the rental house by mid October.  The house building process has been frustrating at times.  When we started, no way did we think we would still be in the rental house in October. However, we needed to be out and the house was still completely under construction.    Everyone was hustling but being able to move in just wasn't able to happen by the date we needed it to.  So, we moved into a hotel for 9 nine days.  While Conor was at the house all day, the kids and I ate take out and swam in the pool and hit up the Bocas Park.  It wasn't home but if there is one thing we have learned from the house building process:  Just roll with it.

Tohi tried some avocado

She had mixed feelings about it

Woody ended up with some green hair from all his pool time

I bought a pack-n-play to help Tohi figure out that she doesn't need to be on top of mom in order to sleep.  She can just roll over in her comfy little crib and go back to sleep.  The message doesn't seem to be getting through

Elwood has started swim lessons and his instructor is magical.  I have been trying to get him to float for months and he is a stiff, sinking, slightly panicky, not relaxed little guy. Elena, the magical swim instructor, has him loving the swim routine of:  floating-then swimming-then floating when tired-then swimming.  She's for real magical.

Elwood made it to the edge with no problems but my phone ran out of memory room.  damnit phone

Tohi has been trying to "put it all together" to crawl.  It's been adorable to watch her figure it out.  She put it all together in the hotel.  And I swear, she had learned to crawl just so she can crawl over to something and pull up on it.

In the rental house:

Then in the hotel she put it all together and was crawling all over the cool, air conditioned floor.  I have no video because the girl was all of the sudden fast and into everything and trying to pull up on anything she could get her hands on.  Conor said it best, "Learning how to crawl must feel similar to getting your drivers license."
Tohi totally agrees
