We see the red frogs all the time but this slightly larger (about the size of two quarters side by side) was a rare siting by our shower. We were so excited to see him hopping around

We planted carrots a few months ago. I've had dud carrots in previous gardens so I was determined to have good results this go around. We tilled the soil, researched water conditions, and how/when to thin the seedlings. Woody and I were waiting for our plentiful harvest. . .

We had total duds again but Woody could not have been more excited about the "baby carrots" he was pulling out of the ground. I can't even imagine his happiness level if we had been able to grow normal sized carrots. Maybe next year!

Cabin Progress

The Canafistula tree next to the cabin fell. Thankfully, no one was hurt and no damage was done to the cabin. It fell right on the path up from our house to the cabin. It crushed a large part of our hand rail and a bunch of trees we have been babying from seeds that we recently planted but other than that, no damage to report. We are just bummed to lose such a cool tree that was shading the cabin.
