Elwood participated in his first Jiujitsu tournament. He did fabulous! It was intense and really fun to watch! We were so proud of him for even signing up! He was nervous but held his composure through out the tournament. He had four fights total, 3 wins and 1 loss, giving him 3rd place. I'm not sure I even took a breath while watching each of his fights.

these beautiful sandhill cranes came to visit us at Oma's house for a few days. They were so calm, they let the kids and I get pretty close before they got spooked. Sandhill cranes mate for life and I just loved seeing these life long partners hunt for fish in Oma's ponds.
