La Casa

Spot the Red Frog
We see them hopping around all the time.  They are so tiny and fun to spot.

Bike Ride to Bluff's

A few weekends ago we rented bikes in Bocas and rode out to Bluff's Beach.  At the end of the gorgeous and challenging bike ride there is a bar/restaurant with a pool.  So, it's pretty much awesome for everyone.

"Ok, parents.  I am just gonna hang onto this pacifier thing.  You guys keep trying to put it in my mouth when I am CLEARLY not tired, and it's annoying me."

We stopped on our bike ride back to town for a beer, a banana smoothie, and to watch some professional surfers make it look easy at Paki Point

Neeners and Jorge

Friends of ours, Jenine and George, are on an epic adventure.  They are traveling in a bad ass van from California to Patagonia.  We were able to coordinate a few days together before they shipped their van to Columbia.  It was wonderful to see them and enjoy the company of two adventurous, like minded people.  We wish them a safe and life changing journey.
Much love, Neeners and Jorge

Woody asked if Jenine could read his bedtime books.  Which in the language of a three year old, is the ultimate compliment.

Jack Fruit

The part you eat is the part around the brown nut.  Essentially you are eating the petals of the flower around each seed.  This was our first jack fruit and since then we've had three more.  This one we cut a few days too early.  The fruit part was sweet but a little firm.  The other jack fruits we've tried we think we cut them a day or 2 past their peak of ripeness.  Their fruit was much sweeter but the texture was mushier. The nuts you can roast and snack on.
