Conor was doing a project on the back porch and he called me over.  As he was asking me if the parrot that was watching him from our papaya tree could possibly be the parrot we set free almost three years ago. . . the parrot flew from the tree to the railing and happily hopped onto Conor's finger.  What?!?!  Almost three years living free in the jungle and she came back to check in on her first love.  haha!

she stuck around for a few days. . . realized we still had kids and then took off.

We are having a little bit of a "inappropriate use of markers" problem in our house right now.  I am constantly reviewing the rule of "where are we allowed to draw???  ON. PAPER."   However. . . I am seeing marker on bodies, children's hair, walls, couch covers, books. . . Honestly, I'm not sure why I haven't thrown all the markers out by now!  It's probably not helping the problem that I take pictures while laughing. . . 

She's obviously not sorry. . . she's modeling!
